A police officer who had sex with a prostitute while investigating a brothel has been ordered to resign. Manjit Johal, a sergeant with the Metropolitan Police, was found guilty of misconduct at an Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) hearing. The 43-year-old was accused of sexual activity with a prostitute while visiting a property in Walthamstow, north-east London, in December 2005 to investigate whether it was being used for prostitution. Carole Mallory, a former actress and supermodel who had an affair with Norman Mailer, the late giant of American letters and six-times married writer, for 10 years, has sold seven boxes of documents and photos that include extracts of her own letters, books and journals to Harvard University. As well as stories hand-edited by the two-time Pulitzer prize winner, the documents also include two sex scenes based on their love life. Read more at The Telegraph.
